With dedicated team of safety officers every personal employed by the company is trained to maintain all safety measure and guide the fellow workers for the same. We try to achieve the following without compromising on efficiency and quality:

• Providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
• Provide adequate training to employees, contractors, operators, labors and all other personal on site.
• Provide adequate safety tools and tackles for regular usage.
• Identify, asses and eliminate hazards and risks.
• Provide first aid box on site and tie ups with local doctors and hospitals in case of emergency and untoward events.
• Award and appreciations programs personal engaged at all levels to promote sense of gallantry in safety.

Policy Statement:

• Zero tolerance policy against any kind of substance abuse including but not limited to tobacco, alcohol or drug.
• Use or handling of any such fitness hindering substance is strictly prohibited on work site during working or non-working hours.
• Strict actions are taken against personal found guilty of the offense.

Eco Build/VLG India’s Responsibility:

Educate and encourage employees and families against the health and social ill-effect of substance abuse.

Administration and record of the policy enforcement on day to day basis.

Deploy resources to inspect and take action against violation of policy.

Employees Responsibility:

Abide by the policy and help Eco Build/VLG India to enforce the same.

Under any circumstances, report on site/duty at all times free from the effect of any kind of substance.

Report any incident involving the use without any deferral.

At each work site Eco Build/VLG India tries to enforce the above. Further, to ensure health and safety, substance abuse is discouraged through formal management notices and informal conversation while encouraging employees to maintain good health through exercise, proper diet, and avoidance of tobacco, alcohol abuse and drug abuse.

In order to maintain safe and healthy work environment for all, Eco Build/VLG India enforces the fitness for duty policy:

Policy Statement:

• All employees are expected to be mentally and physically fit at time of reporting on duty.
• It is the responsibility of the employees to immediate report to the supervisor if he/she is not able to perform the required job due to any reason.
• If the employee is deemed unfit by the immediate supervisor to perform desired duty, he/she is to be sent home immediately.
• Any or all employees can undergo a random medical check-up to ensure fitness for duty at any time of employment.
• If found unfit due to any circumstances, Eco Build/VLG India has the authority to terminate employee’s employment depending upon the severity of the situation.

Efforts are made on a regular basis by the company to regulate the policy. Further, taking inspiration from the governments mid-day meal policy at schools, Eco Build/VLG India is committed to provide the facility of hygienic and healthy lunch to all employees while working in adverse conditions on site. But, our efforts ensure precaution rather than cure is not always successful, for those unfortunate times Eco Build/VLG India provides all its employees with medical and accidental insurance free of cost to cover all medical expenses.
